Bugei.com sells both the short and long sword as well as the tanto(knife). They are forged and heat treated and made to resemble the traditional swords from Japan, but They are not made the old way. They are folded but it doesn’t like there folded more than once, wereas the traditional smiths folded them between 10-16 times. Also, I think they are only good for cutting not for combat.
Try googling “katana, wakizaishi.” And check out wikipedia on Japanese swords.
